Step-by-Step Guide: Assembling Your FastCOLOUR XP600 ECO-Solvent/Sublimation Ink Large Format Printer

If you’ve just received your FastCOLOUR XP600 ECO-Solvent/Sublimation Ink Large Format Printer and are eager to get it up and running, you’ve come to the right place. In this comprehensive guide, we’ll walk you through the assembly process step by step, ensuring that you have everything you need to start producing high-quality prints in no time.

  1. Unpack and Organize Components: Begin by unpacking all the components of your printer. Group together the stands, right-hand side components, left-hand side components, wheels, and screws. Organizing your components will make the assembly process smoother and more efficient.
  2. Assemble Stand Legs: Take the right stand leg and fit it to the base using four screws (two on each side). Hand-tighten the screws initially, then secure them tightly. Repeat the process for the left stand leg. Once done, flip the stand upside down, secure the screws on the inside, and ensure everything is tightly fastened.
  3. Attach Cross-Section Panel: With assistance, align the cross-section panel with the two stand legs, ensuring the model number faces the front. Hand-tighten all screws, then secure tightly once all screws are in place.
  4. Install Base Plates and Wheels: Pop the base plates onto each side of the stand, securing them with six screws per side. Install the wheels, ensuring the two locking wheels are at the front. Secure the wheels with four screws each.
  5. Mount Printer onto Stand: Carefully place the printer onto the stand, ensuring that the shipping safety bars are past the base plates on each end. Align the base plate slots with the printer screw holes on each side and tighten the printer to the stand with four screws on each side.
  6. Install Takeup Roller Arms: Attach the takeup roller arms to the middle of the stand with four screws on each side. Ensure the solid side faces inwards.
  7. Fit Takeup Bars and Motors: Thread the takeup bars through the takeup motors and guides, securing them with wing nut screws. Repeat the process for both front and back of the machine.
  8. Mount Fan Unit and Ink System: Secure the fan unit arms to the front of the machine with four screws per side. Install the waste bottle and ink tanks to the appropriate locations on the stand.
  9. Connect Electrical Components: Plug in the takeup motor, fan unit, ink tank unit, and main power cable. Ensure all connections are secure and tidy.
  10. Prepare Printer Head and Ink System: Install ink cartridges, connect ink tubes to cartridges, and prime the ink system. Install the print head, dampers, and ensure proper ink flow through the system.
  11. Final Adjustments and Testing: Adjust cap height, set heater temperatures, and run nozzle tests to ensure proper functionality. Perform alignment tests and fine-tune as necessary.
  12. Run Color Print Test: Once all adjustments are made, run a colour print test to verify that the printer is functioning correctly.

By following these detailed steps, you’ll be able to assemble your FastCOLOUR Large Format Printer with confidence and precision. If you encounter any difficulties during the process, don’t hesitate to seek technical assistance for further guidance. Now, you’re ready to unleash the full potential of your new printer and embark on your printing journey with ease.
