GoPrinter Adjust Artwork Size

Adjust Artwork Size by Encoder Dividation or Edit Artwork Size by Enlarge or Shrink for GoPrinter

If you’ve got one of our awesome Handheld GoPrinters (either the ½-inch or 1-inch model), you’re probably loving how easy it is to print your designs on the go. But what if you want to tweak the size of your artwork? Maybe you need a shorter width but the same height, or you want to scale everything proportionally so your logo doesn’t look stretched. No worries—this guide’s got you covered with simple steps to adjust your print size. Let’s make your prints look just right!

Getting Started: Power Up and Dive In

First things first, flip the switch to turn on your printer. Once you’re on the main screen, head to the Print menu. You’ll see your artwork displayed, ready to go. By default, it’s set to print at its full size, but we’re here to customize that!

Tweaking the Width (Same Height, Shorter Print)

Let’s say you want your print to keep the same height but be a bit shorter in width—perfect for fitting into tight spaces. Here’s how to do it:

  1. Go to Print Settings: From the Print menu, tap on Print Set.
  2. Find the Encoder: You’ll see an option called Encoder—make sure it’s checked and turned on.
  3. Adjust the Division: The default division is set to 3, which gives you the standard proportional size. If you want a shorter width, lower this number. Try setting it to 1:
    • Tap the arrow-back button to reduce the number.
    • Select 1 and hit OK.
  4. Exit and Print: Head back to the Print menu and hit print to see the magic happen.

What’s the result? Your print will have the same height but a shorter width—exactly what you were aiming for! If you want the print to be longer than the default, just bump that number up higher than 3 and test it out.

Scaling Proportionally (No Stretched Logos Here!)

What if you want to resize your artwork but keep everything proportional so it doesn’t look wonky? Maybe someone’s worried their logo will get stretched out of shape. No problem—here’s how to scale it evenly:

  1. Switch to Edit Mode: Exit the Print menu and head to Edit.
  2. Select Your Artwork: Make sure your design is highlighted.
  3. Adjust Size: Look at the top of the screen for the A+ and A- buttons. These let you scale your artwork up or down proportionally.
    • Tap A+ to make it bigger.
    • Tap A- to shrink it down.
  4. Print It: Once you’ve got the size just right, go back to the Print menu and print away.

Your artwork will now scale perfectly, keeping the height and width in sync so your logo or design looks crisp and professional.

Wrapping It Up

That’s it! Whether you’re using the ½-inch or 1-inch Handheld GoPrinter, adjusting your print size is super straightforward. Want a shorter width? Tweak the encoder. Need proportional resizing? Use the A+ or A- buttons in Edit mode. You’re now a print-sizing pro!

What’s Next? Keep an eye out for our next guide, where we’ll dive into getting the best print quality and share some tips for keeping your Epic Cartridge in top shape for longer use. Until then, happy printing, and we’ll catch you in the next one!
