Mug Press: Step-by-Step
The control panel on the Heatware Hobby M5 lists suggested temps and times for different materials. For mugs, here’s what you do:
- Slide your mug into the heating element.
- Adjust the clamp for a snug fit—firm, but don’t overdo it.
- Turn the temperature dial about halfway to hit 200°C.
- Set the timer by twisting the dial halfway left for 60 seconds.
- Wait for the beep, then carefully remove your mug.
Cap Press: Quick and Easy
Switching to the cap press is straightforward (check our assembly video if you need a refresher on swapping attachments). Here’s how it works:
- Place your design on the cap’s front panel.
- Set the temperature to 200°C and the timer to 40 seconds.
- When it beeps, take the cap out and cold peel the transfer.
T-Shirt Press: Smooth and Simple
Pressing t-shirts or other fabrics is a breeze:
- Swing the heating element out of the way.
- Lay your design on the fabric and cover it with a Teflon sheet to avoid scorching.
- Slide the press back into place.
- Set the heat to 185°C and the timer to 25 seconds.
- When it’s done, lift the handle, swing the element away, and check out your crisp new print.
Plate Press: Perfect for Ceramics
The plate press attachment is great for decorative or commemorative plates:
- Use the flat press base with the plate attachment.
- Secure your plate in the press.
- Place it in the t-shirt press area.
- Set the temperature to 200°C and the timer to 900 seconds (15 minutes).
- Once it’s done, lift the press and remove your plate for a polished, professional result.
