How to Unpack and Install the 600 DTF Powder Shaker

How to Unpack and Install the 600 DTF Powder Shaker

Have you just received your new 600 DTF powder shaker? Before you can start using it, you’ll need to unpack the machine and install a few components.

In this guide, we walk you through the process, from removing the machine from its wooden crate to fitting the heater, take-up rollers and controllers.

1. Unpack the Machine

The 600 DTF powder shaker arrives in a wooden crate to protect it during transport.

Start by removing the top section of the crate using a hammer and crowbar. Once the top is off, remove the L-brackets at the top and all the support screws along the bottom of the box.

You can then gently tap the side panel near the top corners to loosen it and remove it.

With the side panel out of the way, carefully grip the machine on either side and slide it out of the crate.

You’ll also find accessories packed underneath and inside the machine. Remove these and place them somewhere safe while you prepare for assembly. Finally, remove the protective plastic covering.

2. Check the Accessories

Before you start putting everything together, check that you have all the supplied parts.

You should have:

  • A plastic handle and a bag of screws
  • The front heater and its mounting arms
  • The powdering cover
  • Two stainless-steel take-up rollers and their mounting arms
  • Two take-up arm controllers

Once you’ve checked everything, you’re ready to start assembling the machine.

3. Fit the Powdering Cover

First, attach the plastic handle to the front of the powdering cover using the two supplied screws.

Once the handle is secure, place the cover over the powdering section of the machine. Make sure it sits properly before moving on.

4. Install the Front Heater

Next, fit the two mounting arms to the upper front of the machine. You’ll need four screws to secure them, with one arm on each side.

Remove the hand-tightening screws from the front heater and slide the heater into position.

Pay attention to the electrical connection. It needs to line up with the corresponding connection on the same side of the machine. Once the heater is in place, tighten the screws and plug it in as shown in the installation video.

5. Fit the Take-Up Roller Mounting Arms

Now it’s time to install the remaining two mounting brackets at the bottom front of the machine.

Use four screws to secure the brackets, then slide the two stainless-steel take-up rollers through their mounting arms.

Make sure the rollers are sitting correctly before installing the controllers.

6. Install the Take-Up Arm Controllers

There are two take-up arm controllers to fit. One has an electrical connection that needs to be plugged into the machine, so set that one aside for the moment.

Start with the other controller. Slide its bottom section into the outermost take-up roller bar, allowing it to rest on the innermost bar. Move it across to the far side of the machine.

Repeat the process with the main controller, making sure it sits correctly on the roller bars. Once both controllers are in position, plug in the main controller.

7. Secure the Rollers

You’re almost done!

Use the remaining hand-tightening screws to secure the take-up rollers in place. Before using the machine, check that the components are properly fitted and that all the connections are secure.

Follow the manufacturer’s safety instructions before powering up the equipment.
