Step 1: Mess with the Network Stuff
Pop open the Control Panel and head to “Network and Internet.”
Click “Change Adapter Settings.”
Spot the connection your printer’s hooked up to and give it a name you won’t forget.
Right-click it, choose “Properties,” and tick the box for “Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4).” Hit “Properties” again.
On the General tab, go with “Use the following IP address.”
Punch in: 192.168.1.27.10.
Click “OK” to seal the deal.
Step 2: See If They’re Chatting
Hit the Start Menu, search for “Command Prompt,” and open it up.
Type this:
ping 192.168.1.2710
Press Enter.
If it keeps replying like a chatty friend, your computer and printer are on good terms.
Step 3: Get the Printer Software in Line
Fire up Print EXP on your computer.
Head to “Advanced” > “Net Settings.”
Make sure “Ethernet” is checked and matches the name you gave your connection.
Set the IP to: 192.168.1.254.
Save it, and maybe give your printer a quick reboot if it’s acting stubborn.
All Done
That should sort things out! Getting those IP settings right and checking the connection should keep your printing game strong and steady.
