Are you struggling to set up your MetalWise inverter welding and cutting power supply with your plasma machine? In this comprehensive guide, we’ll walk you through the step-by-step process of attaching the MetalWise 45, MetalWise 85, and MetalWise 125 models to your Plasma Cutting Machine. Whether you’re dealing with a single-phase or three-phase power supply, we’ve got you covered.
Watch the below video to learn more:
MetalWise offers a range of power supplies catering to different voltage requirements. The MetalWise 45 operates on a 220V single-phase power supply, while the MetalWise 85 and MetalWise 125 require a 380V three-phase power supply.
Let’s start with the connections at the back of the machine. Both the MetalWise 85 and MetalWise 125 come with the air regulator pre-installed.
Begin by connecting the plasma control signal and AR (Air Regulator) voltage cables. The plasma control signal cable connects to the smaller connector, while the AR voltage cable connects to the larger connector. It’s important to note that the plasma control signal cable is not polarity-sensitive, but the AR voltage cable is. Ensure you connect the red positive cable to the appropriate terminal (number one) and the blue negative cable to the other (number two).
Once the cables are connected, don’t forget to attach the air input nipple by removing the protective cover. With the back connections done, let’s move to the front of the machine.
At the front, you’ll attach the torch. Start by connecting the air pipe and the electrode cable. Secure them in place using the provided nuts and covers. Ensure everything is tightened securely to prevent any leaks or loose connections.
Next, connect the Earth clamp to the work cable connector using an Allen key to tighten it securely.
Moving on to the MetalWise 45 model, which requires assembly of the air regulator. Attach the air pressure gauge and the quick-release valve to the regulator. Connect the air pipe from the inverter to the quick release valve. Secure the regulator to the machine using the bracket provided.
For the MetalWise 45, both the plasma control signal and AR voltage cables are connected to a single integrated connector. Follow the polarity guidelines for connecting the cables to the appropriate terminals.
Once all the connections are made, don’t forget to check for any loose connections and ensure everything is properly secured.
In conclusion, connecting your MetalWise inverter welding and cutting power supply to your plasma machine is a straightforward process. By following these step-by-step instructions, you can ensure a seamless setup, allowing you to get to work quickly and efficiently.
