  • Use the F button to navigate to the Language setting.
  • Use the V buttons to scroll through the language options and select your preferred language (in this case, English).
  • Confirm your selection by pressing Origin.

Once set, press the Reset button. The machine will reinitialise and apply the language setting.

2. Inserting and Testing the Blade

Before you start cutting, you need to insert the cutting blade properly:

  • Press the Offline button to manually move the cutting head to a convenient position.
  • Insert the blade into the blade holder. Ensure that only the tip of the blade is visible to avoid cutting too deeply.
  • Secure the blade by tightening the gold ring.

To ensure optimal cutting performance, perform a blade test:

  • Press Test to execute a test cut.
  • Examine the test result carefully.
  • If adjustments are needed, use the arrow buttons to modify the Force and Speed settings.
  • Run the test again until you’re satisfied with the cutting quality.

3. Installing the Software

To operate the vinyl cutter from your computer, you’ll need the appropriate software:

  • Visit cncu.co.za and navigate to Blade Cutters Software > Vinyl Cut.
  • Scroll down and download the latest version of Vinyl Cut 5.
  • Complete the installation process and launch the software on your PC.

4. Cutting via Flash Drive

The Vinyl4 Business cutter offers the convenience of cutting directly from a flash drive:

  • Open the design file in Vinyl Cut 5.
  • Click on Cutter, then choose Save to File.
  • Name your file and enable Add Registration Marks.
  • Save the file and transfer it to a flash drive.
  • Insert the flash drive into the machine.
  • On the vinyl cutter, press Setup and use the arrow buttons to select your file.
  • Press Origin to load the file.

Manually move the cutting head using the Offline function to the first registration mark’s approximate location, then press Origin again. The machine will automatically detect the registration marks and begin cutting.

5. Cutting Directly from the Computer

You can also cut directly from your computer for a more streamlined workflow:

  • In Vinyl Cut 5, go to Cutter.
  • Ensure your correct model is selected.
  • Click Cut to start the process.
