- Selecting the Right Material
This is a sublimation printing contest, so your choice of material is key. It needs to be rigid and non-stretchable—nothing flexible like honeycomb fabric, which won’t hold the necessary tension when framed. - Size Requirements
Your entry must meet these size specs:
- Minimum: A4 size.
- Maximum: A1 size.
- Shape doesn’t matter—square or rectangular works fine.
- Printing and Framing Details
Your submission will be expertly wrapped onto a wooden frame to create a canvas block mount. If the material stretches, you might end up with uneven edges or visible bleed areas. Stick to a suitable material for a clean, taut finish that could help you stand out. - Submission Instructions
To ensure your entry counts:
- Put your contact info in an envelope.
- Attach it firmly to the bleed area (not the main design).
- Once framed, the envelope will be stapled to the back, with a small material strip extending downward.
- Judging Criteria
Visitors will sign the piece they think should win. The entry with the most signatures takes the prize. - Equipment Standards
For consistency and fairness, all prints must be made and pressed using AM.CO.ZA equipment. Submissions using other machinery won’t be accepted. - Rewards
Beyond the grand prize, every valid entry earns you a R200 credit at buythis.co.za (you’ll need an account there). It’s yours to spend on future purchases. - Deadline
