Today we are looking at the new and improved P-2360 Gantry CNC Plasma Cutting Machine from AM.CO.ZA. Plasma cutting is a process for cutting steel and metal of different sizes and thicknesses using a plasma torch. Watch the below video to find out what you need to know:
The doubled sided support rails, provide more support to the cutting head to offer more accurate and stable cutting. It is also now possible to create wider cutting tables, to allow for 2 to 2.2m of cutting width, which is more than the standard. Thanks to the extra width of the locally manufactured table cutter, there is no need for extra space for the arm to retreat back to position.
The P-2360 MetalWise Gantry CNC Plasma Cutting Machine compares to the traditional big gantry style plasma cutters available in the market, but at a fraction of the cut.
What will this machine cost? R 48 298.85 incl. VAT
During plasma cutting, the inert gas or compressed air is ejected at high speed from the nozzle and an electrical arc is made from the gas in the nozzle to the surface to facilitate the cutting. The plasma is sufficiently hot to melt the metal that is being cut and it also moves fast enough to blow the cut metal away from the cut. In the past, this has required high voltages which generally meant that three-phase circuits were necessary.
