Mug & Tumbler Press Machines

How to Use the Mug & Tumbler Press Machines from AM.CO.ZA, Set Temperature and Time

If you’re looking for a simple, no-installation-required mug press, AM.CO.ZA offers several user-friendly options. In this guide, we’ll walk you through how to use the two main types: one with a dial control panel and the other with a flat digital control panel. Whether you’re new to heat pressing or just need a quick refresher, follow along to get your mugs looking perfect in no time.

Using the Mug Press with a Dial Control Panel

  1. Switching Temperature Units
Start by turning on the press. Hold down the control button for about six seconds. This allows you to toggle between degrees Celsius and Fahrenheit. For this example, we’ll use Celsius.
  2. Setting the Temperature
    • Press the control button once.
    • Rotate the dial clockwise to your desired temperature (typically around 200°C).
    • Press the button again to confirm.
Once the desired temperature is reached, the machine will beep.
  3. Setting the Timer
    • Rotate the dial anticlockwise to adjust the time.
    • Set it to about 30 seconds.
    • Press the button to confirm.
  4. Inserting and Clamping the Mug
Slide your mug into the press. If it doesn’t fit snugly, adjust the press diameter using the side knobs. Once properly fitted, clamp the mug securely in place.
  5. Starting the Press
Press the screen to begin the countdown. When time runs out, you’ll hear a beep. Tap the screen again to stop the press.
  6. Removing the Mug
Carefully remove the mug (it will be hot) and allow it to cool. Congratulations, your mug has been successfully heat pressed!
  7. Powering Down
Once done, close the press and turn it off.

Using the Automatic Mug Press with Flat Control Panel

  1. Power On and Change Units
    • Power on the machine.
    • Hold down the temperature button for 6 seconds.
    • Use the plus/minus buttons to switch between Celsius and Fahrenheit.
    • Press the temperature button again to confirm.
  2. Setting the Temperature
    • Tap the temperature button once.
    • Adjust to your desired setting (maximum is 190°C).
    • Tap again to confirm.
  3. Setting the Timer
    • Press the time button.
    • Set the timer to 30 seconds.
    • Press again to confirm.
  4. Clamping and Starting
    • Insert your mug.
    • Press the “Clamp/Relax” button. The machine will automatically clamp the mug and begin the press.
