TruCUT CO2 Engraving and Cutting Machine Buying Guide with Highlights Features Explained

In our previous episode, we delved into the world of CO2 Laser Machinery, specifically the TruCUT CO2 desktop versions. Today, we’re shifting our focus to our larger marking and cutting TruCUT CO2 laser Machines. Let’s dive right in.

We have two distinct types of CO2 lasers to showcase: the Cabinet Laser Standalone and the Desktop Laser.

Desktop CO2 Laser

This machine boasts a bed size of 600×400 mm and comes equipped with an 80W tube. One of its standout features is the full-colour control panel, allowing you to preview your engraving design in detail before starting the process. This feature ensures precision and minimizes errors.

To achieve the required accuracy, you’ll need to manually level the bed using the up and down buttons located on the side of the machine. Once levelled, you’re ready to mark, engrave, or cut materials like wood, plastics, and glass. Although it can engrave metal with the use of a special thermal paste, it cannot cut through metal.

Additionally, the bed of this desktop laser can be lowered up to 20 cm, accommodating larger objects such as tree stumps for engraving. This flexibility makes it a versatile tool for various projects.

Cabinet CO2 Laser

Next, we have the Cabinet Laser, available in different bed sizes, including 1300×900 mm and 600×800 mm. This machine features an auto-leveling system, simplifying the setup process. You just place your material, position a piece of metal underneath, and press a button on the control panel.

The Cabinet Laser offers a range of tube options, from 80W to 150W, whether standard or premium. This variety provides greater power and capability compared to the desktop version, which maxes out at 80W.

Another advantage of the Cabinet Laser is its ability to lower the bed beyond 20 cm, accommodating larger materials for comprehensive engraving. Like the desktop version, it can engrave but not cut metal. The thermal paste is required for metal engraving.

This machine also features a full-color screen for easy design selection, and the control panel includes options for focus and auto-leveling, making it user-friendly.

Accessories and Additional Features

Both the Cabinet and Desktop Lasers are compatible with our rotary device, an accessory designed for engraving cylindrical objects like bottles. This attachment integrates seamlessly with the software, allowing you to engrave cylindrical items effortlessly.

Why Choose a CO2 Laser?

Now, you might be wondering why you should opt for a CO2 laser over a Fiber, UV, or MOPA Laser Machine. The answer lies in versatility. CO2 lasers can cut and engrave a wider range of materials. While they can’t cut metal due to the risk of beam reflection causing damage or fire, they excel at working with wood, glass, plastics, rubber, and more. This versatility makes CO2 lasers a valuable tool for various applications.

Conclusion
